Booklets

A booklet is small bound book, also known as pamphlet, and usually having a paper cover.

Features 
Full colour front and back with various stock options. If you want your booklet to standout, you may want to add coating on the cover – AQ (Aqueous), UV, matt and gloss lamination. Coatings are done every Thursday to keep the cost down. Otherwise, a surcharge will apply for rush coatings.

Turnaround Time
Turnaround time starts upon approval. Two to three business days for straight printing. Job that requires finishing such as folding, die-cutting and binding up to seven business days. Coatings are done every Thursday only followed by finishing which can take up to seven business days. Shipping turnaround time not included.

Page Sizes
Choose from available page sizes. For odd size, choose the next size up with a maximum of 9x12 inch page size. All sizes are in inches.

Binding
Saddle Stitch: uses wire staples to secure folded sheets of paper. It is effective for booklets with 64 pages or less. Saddle stitching requires the book’s page count to be in multiples of four. 
Perfect Binding: utilizing an adhesive to hold pages together. Perfect binding, also known as adhesive binding, applies an adhesive to the spine of gathered pages which, when dry, keeps them securely bound. Commonly, a soft paper or paperboard cover (or paperback) is attached over the binding adhesive. Perfect bound publications have rectangular backbones. (PrintWiki)

For Perfect Binding, we use regular adhesive for uncoated stock and PUR (Polyurethane Reactive) adhesive for silk and gloss stock to ensure durability.

Fold and Trim: sometimes called soft fold. The sheets of paper are folded loosely without any staples. It is ideal for booklets with 12 pages or less.

File Preparation 
Send files in PDF format with crop marks and 1/8 inch bleeds on each side. Ensure that the PDF is created using highest resolution or print-ready settings. For best result, images should be at least 300 dpi.
